About Diesel Proof

Building the trusted name in diesel performance.

Built From the Community

Diesel Proof started at the end of 2020 as a way to share premium, high-quality content focused specifically on diesel trucks.

It didn't take long for that to grow into something more.

As our following grew, we started featuring trucks and content from people in our community alongside our own. We were selective about what we shared and wanted everything associated with Diesel Proof to meet a certain standard.

A year or two later, we moved into apparel. We've since sold thousands of Diesel Proof hats, shirts, decals, and other merchandise to people who wanted to represent the brand.

But the goal was always bigger than apparel.

We wanted to build a company where our followers and customers could eventually shop for the parts they needed with the same level of quality we expected from everything else carrying the Diesel Proof name.

After years of building the community, developing relationships, and working behind the scenes, we're extremely blessed to finally be doing that.

And we're only getting started.

Where It Started for Me

I've always been a gearhead. I've loved cars and trucks for as long as I can remember—the louder, the better.

But there's one experience that really got me hooked on diesels.

Around 2010, my uncle came up for Thanksgiving in his 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 dually with a 5.9L Cummins. He's owned more than 70 vehicles over the years, from Chevelles to Duramax trucks and just about everything in between, so him showing up in something interesting wasn't unusual.

This truck was different.

It was immaculate, had really low miles, and he had already built it with a bigger turbo, larger injectors, exhaust, manifolds, and plenty more.

We went for a drive and I remember wondering why he was babying it so much and letting it warm up. That wasn't normally how our drives went.

Eventually, we stopped at a light and he started bringing the RPMs up. I had no clue he was building boost.

The light changed and the truck took off hard enough to throw me back into the seat. I remember looking over at the speedometer and then into the side mirror. There was black smoke coming from the exhaust and white smoke coming from all four rear tires.

That was it.

I was hooked on diesels from that point forward.

Diesel Proof wouldn't come around for almost 11 years later, but my interest in this industry started long before the company did.

Why Diesel Proof?

The name Diesel Proof is a bit of a double meaning.

Diesel obviously represents the trucks and engines the brand was built around. Proof plays off the strength and power associated with diesel engines, while also borrowing from the way the strength of bourbon is measured.

It fit what we were building, and it stuck.

Today, the name means even more to us because of the standard we've built around it. If we're going to put Diesel Proof behind a product, manufacturer, piece of content, or customer experience, we want to be proud of it.

We've Been Doing This for a While

Diesel Proof's ecommerce store may be new, but our experience in this industry isn't.

Our team has more than a decade of experience in the automotive aftermarket and ecommerce space. We've been part of three major ecommerce companies across the light-duty and heavy-duty truck markets and have helped grow businesses through some pretty significant stages.

That experience taught us a lot about what works.

It also showed us what we didn't want Diesel Proof to become.

As companies grow, it's easy for the focus to shift toward transactions, volume, and numbers. The customer can start feeling more like an order number than a person.

We wanted to build this differently.

We've spent years quietly working in the background so that when Diesel Proof entered ecommerce, we could create the kind of experience we always thought customers should have.

Customer First. Always.

This is probably the simplest way to explain how we want to run Diesel Proof.

Take care of people.

Our team is knowledgeable, but just as importantly, we genuinely care about helping our customers.

Sometimes that's helping you find the right part. Sometimes it's calling a manufacturer to get an answer. Sometimes it's suggesting another option you may not have considered. And sometimes it's telling you that you don't need to spend the money at all.

Our CEO still personally calls customers when that's what it takes to help source a product or work through a question.

We intend to keep it that way.

We can grow the website, add technology, carry more products, and build a larger team without becoming impersonal.

That's important to us.

Build With Purpose

Everybody has a different reason for owning their truck.

For one customer, it's a work truck that needs to be dependable every morning. For another, it's a tow rig. Someone else may be building a weekend truck or chasing a horsepower number they've had in mind for years.

We want to understand what you're trying to accomplish before we tell you what you need.

That's what Build With Purpose means to us.

Understand the goal first. Then find the right combination of products and people to help get there.

We work with manufacturers we trust, and our team is here to provide the best information we can along the way.

You don't necessarily need every upgrade available for your truck.

You need the right ones for what you're trying to build.

Carefully Curated

We're not trying to have the biggest catalog on the internet.

Our manufacturers and products are carefully selected for a reason.

There are large, established companies making incredible products, and we're proud to work with them. There are also smaller manufacturers building some of the best products in this industry that don't always have the marketing, distribution, or ecommerce presence of the larger brands.

We see an opportunity to help both sides.

Help great manufacturers reach more customers, and help our customers discover great products.

We also aren't building Diesel Proof around being the cheapest place to buy a part.

We have great relationships with our manufacturing partners and we'll always work to provide competitive pricing, but our standard is bigger than price alone.

Products, knowledge, service, support, and the overall customer experience all matter.

The Community Comes With Us

Diesel Proof was a community before it was an ecommerce company.

That's not changing.

If anything, we want to become more involved.

You'll continue seeing customer trucks, original content, manufacturer collaborations, and the things that helped grow Diesel Proof in the first place. We're also looking forward to attending more shows, setting up as a vendor, meeting more of our customers in person, and becoming more involved with the diesel community outside of social media.

We spent years building this community before asking anyone to buy a truck part from us.

We don't forget that.

What's Next

The website is one part of what we're building.

Our longer-term plan includes a physical Diesel Proof performance center in Central Florida built around the same customer experience we're creating online.

And when we say performance center, we're not talking about throwing a sign on a typical shop.

We want to build something we're genuinely proud to invite our customers into—clean, professional, well-designed, and customer-focused.

Our vision includes inventory, parts installation, service, in-house dyno and tuning capabilities, manufacturer partnerships, events, and a place where our community can actually spend time with us in person.

It's a big goal.

We're working toward it.

Why We Do It

There's one part of Diesel Proof that's more important than everything else on this page.

Our faith.

We believe God has blessed us with far more than we deserve—from the people we've met and the opportunities we've been given to the community that's supported Diesel Proof since the beginning.

We don't take that lightly.

Our goal isn't simply to put a Bible verse on a website or talk about our faith when it's convenient. We want the way we operate this company to reflect it.

That means serving people.

Doing what we say we're going to do.

Treating customers, employees, manufacturers, and partners the right way.

Doing the right thing even when it costs us something.

And understanding that what we're building ultimately needs to serve something much bigger than ourselves.

We won't always get everything right. But we'll work every day to hold ourselves to that standard.

Diesel Proof has come a long way from an Instagram page started at the end of 2020, and we're incredibly thankful for everyone who's been part of it.

We're excited about where we're going.

And above all else—

God is good, ALL the time!

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to serve you.
